The following are the minimum and recommended equipment specifications to successfully complete your education at the College of Environment + Design. If purchasing a system as an incoming student; please remember that you will need your computer to last and perform for many years. Other than memory and hard drive most laptops can not be upgraded later. We strongly encourage purchasing above the specifications listed.

* The College of Environment + Design teaches with the Windows platform.
Students are expected to come to class with Windows and Windows versions of applications running. *

We do not have a preferred manufacturer and you may purchase from any source you wish. Dell has a UGA store that offers extended warranties if you're interested in their machines.
